I Iove this thought: "it all lies in the inferiority complex of white people who just so much desire to be discriminated against in the same way people of color have been for centuries.". They have no idea how to do this properly because they refuse to think of themselves as low-class (which is what cracker means to me, a low class white person). To think of themselves as low class in America where Democracy makes us all middle class is to be Socialistic in thinking, or worse, Communist. To be Communist was to make everyone working class. To be American was to be middle class. Capitalism is an economic system and not a political system. Democracy, a political system can't really operate under Capitalism because--and here is where the crackers or rednecks or white trash can file their claim to be discriminated against--the ruling class exploits the poor working and barely working lower classes. The political machinery very early divided the poor enslaved black people from the poor wage slave white people in order to rule them both more effectively. Because they are too racist in their thinking, they never understand that the divide-and-conquer theory applies to them and gives them reason to claim discrimination.
